Visitors in Feb!

I'm finally getting back to blogging and, as usual, have a bit of catching up to do!  My good friend Becky came to visit again this winter, and this time she brought along Eric.  They came Feb 6th-11th to Grenoble and then spent the second half of their trip in France in Paris.  While they were here, we skiied a few days to give them the ultimate French alps experience ;)  The first day, Sunday, they just went for a couple hours with Kevin and the older two boys.  It wasn't the best skiing day, but it gave them a feel for their rental equipment and got them out in the alps.

On Monday, we spent the most perfect day skiing at Chamonix, the French city at the foot of Mount Blance, the highest peak in western Europe.  It was sunny and warm, with little to no wind, and the views were breathtaking!

The pictures are all courtesy of Becky and Eric, since I lost mine with my computer.  But (thankfully), I did burn a CD for them of my pictures, so eventually I'll have my pictures back.  I think theirs pictures are fantastic, though, and it's fun to show others' pictures on here.

All in all, the picture perfect day with great friends!

We toured around Grenoble the following day for a change of pace.

Becky and Eric also skiied the next day at Val Thorens, but it was a very cloudy day and they ended up skiing in the clouds after a couple runs!  Not exactly the perfect conditions, but they were good sports about it and still came home smiling ;)

After 5 days with us here in the alps, they headed up to Paris on Thursday for the remainder of their trip. 

Here's a sweet picture of Becky and Eric in Paris along the Seine River.  They just happened to be in Paris over Valentine's Day... and being the suave romantic that Eric is, he proposed to Becky on Valentine's Day evening, in front of a glowing Eiffel Tower.  Congrats to you both!!

Thanks for making us a part of your trip - so glad I got a chance to meet Eric and spend some quality time with you both!
