Mom and Dad Steiner visit!

I know, it's hard to believe I'm actually blogging! But I wanted to try and keep plugging at it, even if I'm way behind and not consistent. And I especially wanted to at least blog about the wonderful visit we had from Mom and Dad Steiner last year! They arrived on April 28, one day after E's birthday.

The boys and I picked them up in Geneva and proceeded to tour around the town a bit. The boys were so excited to see Grandma and Grandpa in Europe!

We went to the cathedral in Geneva...

and walked along the lake a bit, stopping at the famous flower clock of course...

and then headed home to let Mom and Dad crash after a long night on the plane!

The next day was a bit rainy and cloudy, but we decided to make the most of it and go to the Château de Vizille, which is just on the other side of Grenoble. We ended up having a great day and no rain at all there, so it was great! We took a picnic lunch along and fed the swans and ducks in the river that runs through the park.

CJ was fearless...

and the swans were, too... they ate right out of his hand!

E was a bit more nervous, but got close.

You can see the dark skies, we were worried we would get drenched, but it held off all afternoon.

There was a black swan there as well, very beautiful.

Swimming with his mate.

The Château up close..

Running through the shrubbery maze.

Enjoying the last of the tulips.

And a few more pictures of the park and castle in the background. We ended up with a sunny warm day!

After the park, we picked up Kevin at work and took a ride on the bubbles in Grenoble to see the city. Always fun for the boys!

It was a great 'first day' in France! The next day we headed south, more posts to come!
