One Day He'll Hate Me For This

Safety First.

Before any job, always remember your eye protection.

Read the instructions carefully (note the intense facial expression).

Measure twice and cut once.
Or something like that.
This is how I spent my week with Piper. I guess it has paid off, today he was 'accident free'. Must be all the safety equipment. We have yet to have a successful poo in the potty, so I'm not going to call this job complete just yet, but we're well on our way.
They're getting this bed ready for Piper now that he's a big boy.
'The chains are going to keep him from rolling out of bed.'
Can you tell it's been cold and raining all week?

Speaking of big boys, our oldest went on his first French school field trip today. They went to the art museum in the city.
'What did you do there?' I questioned.
'We looked at art. And they told us stories about it.'
'Did you understand any of them?' I asked, hopeful.
'No. But that's OK, Mom, it was fun.'
Already loving his little bit of independence.

CJ also had a first this week. On Wednesday he went to a birthday party for a friend from school. He had a great time and came home with a happy sugar buzz.

It's exciting to see the boys making friends and interacting with the French children. It is still hard at times, so keep praying for them and us as we handle all the intricacies of cultural assimilation. And language lessons, they're just hard to keep up with.

On a completely different topic, we're trying to decide where to go for Christmas since we won't be coming home this year. We're taking suggestions...
