Our oldest picked out the tree and decorated it all by himself!
You can't tell by this photo, but the tree is about as tall as him! That's as big as they come here. Since I only brought one box of decorations, it turned out to be the perfect size. And to top it all off, we bought the tree for 2o€ and when we return it after Christmas they will give us 19€ back, now that's a deal! Incidentally, the first 'deal' we've found here yet!
I am getting a little homesick with the holiday season upon us. Thanksgiving was hard, but since they don't celebrate it here, the day just flew by with our normal activities.
We plan to do some old and new family traditions this year for Christmas, focusing more on the gift of Christ and less on the gifts to ourselves and each other.
