Paris - Part Deux

On Sunday, we decided to slow down a little and spend some time letting the boys play in the local playgrounds. This one is next to the Notre Dame Cathedral.

After playing in the playground, we walked over to the Notre Dame and waited in line to go up the towers. They allow you to climb up the 400 steps in groups of 20 every 10 minutes, so there is a little bit of a wait to go up.
View from the north tower.

Going into the south tower belfry.

The south tower great bell - the cathedral's largest bell, weighing in at over 13 tons. This bell is only run on major Catholic holidays.
After the Notre Dame towers, we went to the Jardin des Plantes, a garden in the Natural History Museum complex. We found another fun playground for the boys to expend some energy :)

After the playground, we headed over to the Menangerie, a public zoo in the complex.
The boys had a lot of fun looking at the different animals and being able to run loose through the zoo grounds.

Our boys liked the big cats and monkeys the best.
We found our way back to our van and decided to just drive around Paris and see a few sights in the evening with the lights on. We were rewarded with some beautiful sights.

Our oldest took this one, he's getting pretty good!
