The day after we returned from Venice, we left Piper with a babysitter and set off for a fun day of skiing adventure at Val Thorens with E and CJ. They are just at the point of being able to ski most of the blues and reds here in the alps (about the same as a black run back home). So we thought it would be fun to spend the day skiing with them without having one of us sit on the baby hill all day with Piper :)
We drive up to Orelle where you can take the cabin car over the mountains to Val Thorens.

At the top of the big hill. Val Thorens is a very high resort, the highest runs are at just over 3200 meters. It is also huge, with over 1400 meter descents. So fun and beautiful!

Val Thorens is part of a huge ski area called Les Tres Valees. Here you can see into the "Three Valleys" area.

Eating lunch at one of the many little cafe's along the slopes. Ski in and ski out only :)

Riding up one of the lifts.

We stayed on the trails, but the off-piste areas looked crazy fun. Emphasis on crazy!

And an actual skiing picture, to prove we did more than pose at the top!
It was a great day with E and CJ. We skiied until they were exhausted. Always with breathtaking views and always great snow and very mild weather. Skiing in early March was perfect!
