Beth's Here!

My dear friend, Beth, is here for a week! She arrived in Geneva, Switzerland on Wed, 18 March. After picking her up we decided to seize the opportunity to see Geneva and spent the afternoon touring around the lake and old town.

Beth and my boys at the flower clock.

watching the dials go 'round...

More pictures of my boys trying to look directly into the sun.

Lovely Lake Geneva, lovely Beth ;)

Framboise glace!

yuummmm....

I almost lost Beth in here.

The Swiss girl finding her roots.

Cathédrale St-Pierre in the 'Old Town'.
As I mentioned in a previous Geneva post, the Catholic cathedral of St. Peter became a Protestant church in 1536. John Calvin preached here from 1536 to 1564, and the cathedral became the guiding center of Protestantism.

There is even a Reformed museum, but with 3 antsy and tired boys, we opted to skip the museum and just buy a few things from the gift shop...
stay tuned, I'll try and post the rest of our sight seeing soon!

So happy for you all that you have a visitor! That's so cool of Beth to fly over and see you. Kristy, I hope that you get to relax and just have some much needed personal/girl time away from the kids! ~Karmen

I can't believe it! Jonathan just flew back to school from Geneva this morning! Small world. If I would have known Beth was coming, I would have sent a care package to trade for some Ducros Herbs d' Provence (cheap but the best in the grocery store) and VanHouton baking cocoa (for the deepest, richest Texas Sheet cake you will ever enjoy. Seriously, have a great time together.
