Fort du Saint-Eynard and Lac Achard

We drove up the Chartruese again on Saturday afternoon, and took a little walk up to the Fort du Saint-Eynard

we were rewarded with a spectacular view of Grenoble as the sun went down

and a lovely backdrop of the Belledone mountains across the valley at dusk.

Sunday we drove up to Chamrousse, in the Belledonne range, home of the 1968 Winter Olympic downhill events. We started at the Roche-Béranger resort at 1750m and hiked up to Lac Achard.
