We did two hikes in the Chartreuse mountains this past Sunday, the first was to the Cascade de la Pisserotte. It was a pretty easy hike and a lovely waterfall at the end, 64 meters high according to our guide book.
Near the falls you have to scramble up through the rocks in the creek downstream. Coming back down was pretty slick, but we managed to stay fairly dry!
Our second hike started by the Monastère de Notre Dame de Chalais. Built in 1101 at the foot of the Chartruese massive, it is a beautiful monastery that is known for its biscuits and welcoming guest quarters.
We hiked up to the Aiguille de Chalais where we were rewarded with an amazing panoramic view.
Near the top, CJ needed some help. Kevin got a good workout!
