Christmas Trip Part I: Zurich, Switzerland and Vaduz, Liechtenstein

We left on Monday the 22nd and traveled through beautiful Switzerland, arriving in Zurich in the afternoon. We enjoyed walking through the Altstadt, or Old Town, which was beautifully decorated with lights and trees.

View along the Limmat River.

This is one of my new all-time favorite stores. They have all kinds of old-fashioned wooden toys and games. It's pretty pricey, but definitely fun to window shop.
The next day Kevin decided that the first thing added to our agenda would be to drive through Liechtenstein on our way to Salzburg.

We stopped in Vaduz, Liechtenstein, the capital and home of the Schloss Vaduz, pictured above.
You can drive up to the castle, but there are no tours through it as the Prince of Liechtenstein resides there.
