Birthday Suits and Tats

So the other night when I went in to check on Piper, this is how I found him...

hhmm. I thought. I'm not so sure Kevin put him to bed without a pyjama top, but maybe he did since it's been so warm the last few days...

So I took a couple pics because he was so cute and he covered his face with his monkey.

Oh, and in case someone from my family actually sees this - yes, that is indeed 'Monkey', the trusted stuffed animal that I wouldn't part with night and day for most of my childhood. Piper has claimed monkey and made him his own!

To finish this story, I decided to put his shirt on, so I pulled down the blanket to get him out of bed and this is what I found:

The stinker had actually stripped off all his clothes and diaper and was sleeping in his birthday suit! I guess the laugh's on him since I'm posting it here :)

Speaking of birthdays, I'm still shocked that my oldest is 7. Did I mention that he invited all his own friends to his party and I didn't even really know who some of them were until they arrived?! It was definitely interesting to have a French birthday party for him, and a good chance for me to meet his friends and their parents when they were dropped off and picked up. He has some really nice friends, they even sang Happy Birthday to him in English! Go figure, I just spent the day before learning how to sing it in French...

It's good to know he's not THAT grown up, however - as evidenced by these hilarious pics of the boys showing off their tats:
