Lake Maggiore and Milan, Italy with Al and Brenda

My brother Al was in Italy in March for business again and this time his wife, Brenda, was able to tag along. So I met up with them for a couple days to hang out with Brenda in Milan while Al worked. I drove up on Thursday afternoon March 25th and we were able to tour around the town of Arona and Lake Maggiore.

This was the view from the hotel. It was rainy and dreary, but still lovely around the lake.

An island out in Lake Maggiore, Isola dei Pescatori or Isola Superiore, at dusk.

We ate dinner at this amazing family restaurant in the hills. It was great food and great company!

The next day Brenda and I headed to Milan to see the sights and shop.

The Duomo or Cathedral of Milan, 4th largest cathedral in the world.

Brenda in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the famous covered mall in Milan.

We ate lunch in the galleria.
After lunch we shopped and then drove back to the vendor Al was working with so they could set off for Rome for the weekend. It was a short but sweet trip and fun to have time to catch up with Al and Brenda on this side of the pond. Thanks for the great time, Al and Brenda!
