So at the end of the very long day on Thursday (after seeing Bruges in the morning and spending all afternoon at Keukenhof), we went to our B&B in Zandvoort, Holland. It was really close to the beach, so we walked down and ate at this awesome restaurant on the beach.

Yummy!

And even though it was cold, the boys loved running along the beach.
A few sunset pictures to end our long and fun day.
This one just gets me.
It's so bittersweet. I love these ages and I want to freeze the boys in time... and yet I know they will grow up - they already are - way too quickly. So I cherish these moments and the memories we'll have.

Oh my, two of our most favorite places all on one spring break!
Brugge was our getaway place when we wanted a quick weekend trip.
Keukenhof was our first major trip in the rain, rain, rain, but it was still magical.
We had one trip again in the spring and again in the rain to the Netherlands that involved a town on the beach, and a trip to a Dutch dentist :)
Windy, cold, but fun, fun fun!
I LOVE those flower pictures. I want to see more of them someday.
Our lilacs are blooming and the farmers are planting.
Miss you.
Have you ever driven through or near Arras on your journies?

Ahh, that last shot reminds me so much of 3 boys about 30 yrs. ago!!Where does time go?? Yes, enjoy each day w/ them while you can! "Yesterday's gone & tomorrow may never come, but we have this moment today."
Vera, we did them both in 1 day! And thankfully we had gorgeous spring weather in Belgium and Holland, all sun and no rain - very fortunate indeed!
I had to google Arras, and this trip was probably the closest we came - is it a must see? Send me an e-mail with more info!
Mom, I know, I'm sure you can relate. I seriously tear up everytime I look at that picture!
