They had this great ground level fountain that the boys were irresistibly drawn to!

At first they just watched as the different fountains went off, but before long they were running through it, taking their chances.

Run, Piper, run!!

We walked around town a little.

This well was dated in the 1500's.

View of the streets of Colmar.

One last fountain picture.
Then we headed home! It was a great Spring Break trip and we enjoyed all of our stops.
I did forget to tell a couple funny stories along the way. The first was in Bruges. As we entered the city and were driving through the historic part of town where there were row houses, Piper piped up from the back and said "I see Mary Poppins!!" We all had a good laugh and I think (not to take away from the hilarity and possible hallucinatory visions) he meant that the houses looked like the ones in Mary Poppins... but I can really only speculate.
The second funny comment was a day or two later and the kids were all getting rather tired of all the time in the van. Tempers were short and Kevin had already stopped once to discipline the fighting and fussing going on in back. Piper just wouldn't stop screaming about relatively nothing, and finally CJ looked at him and said "You had better stop teasing the lion!" Another good laugh was had by all... which turned out to diffuse the situation in lieu of discipline, thankfully!
We arrived at home Sunday evening and started to get ready for our guests to arrive only 3 days later! Eric and Karmen (Kevin's sister) came on our second week of Spring break and stayed for 8 days... pictures and story to follow...
