Switzerland Day 1 - Meisterschwanden and Lucerne

Our first day in Switzerland, we went to the town of Meisterschwanden.  There are many of Kevin's Mom's relatives who are buried here, they have even had relatives who have done DNA testing to prove that their ancestry is from this same town!  This is the Meisterschwanden Reformed Church, where we went to check out the grave stones.

Here are some of the grave stones in the cemetary behind the church.

 A view inside the church.
 Mom by the entrance.
And we were even fortunate enough to run into the pastor at the church, who confirmed that the Siegrist family was indeed one of the founding families of the area.
Mom sitting on a bench overlooking Lake Hallwil, next to Meisterschwanden.
After visiting around the area, we headed south to Lucerne for a little bit of sightseeing as well.
 Looking out over Lake Lucerne.
In front of the covered bridge.

 Beautiful clock tower.
 And painted buildings.

And a wonderful Italian dinner in Switzerland :)  You do what you have to when you're traveling w/kids!
 Final sunset view of Lucerne.

Day 2 of Switzerland coming up... I'm determined to at least finish Mom and Dad's EU trip before we move!
