Catching Up...

Just a glimpse of our everyday lives here....

It rained a LOT in May and June, so we spent many days playing inside and having fun. The boys love to make a mess play with Play-Doh.

look at the concentration...

I also have a couple pictures from the end of the year programs and trips at school. Here is E's school program. He's just about in the center of this picture.

I was also lucky enough to be able to go on Piper's all day field trip to the Bois de la Bâtie, the little park down by the river. They have lots of little ponds full of frogs, birds and other wildlife for the kids to see.

Here's Piper and one of his friends checking out a worm crossing the path...

and a baby turtle (it's at the bottom of the picture).

Down at the pond looking at the frogs...

there he is.

A dad along for the day caught a couple grasshoppers.

Sitting by one of the lakes looking for ducks and beavers. We did see something in the water, but I didn't get a good picture of it. But it was a beautiful spot and you could hear the frogs and birds all around.

Happy boy having Mom along for his field trip.

We also had awards night at the AWANA program at the ICG, the English speaking church we attend here.

CJ was pretty proud of his book award :)

Speaking of CJ, we also celebrated his birthday a little early in June since we were on vacation in Corsica during his birthday. He really, really wanted a spiderman cake...

I don't even want to admit how much time I spent decorating this thing!

But it was worth it, look at that smile! I can't believe he's already 6... where or where does the time go?!

One last shot of our classic ending to a fun summer day. We have consumed more than our share of ice cream in these hot summer days!
A few more posts and I'll be caught up!

It's so much fun to see what you guys are up to and to see happy little boys playing! I must say that I am quite impressed with CJ's cake! You did an awesome job!
I also enjoyed your hiking post- that's so cool that you and Kev could go do that together and have such an adventerous date!
