A Day in France

Sunday was our visitors' last day in Europe and we spent in around the Grenoble area enjoying the beautiful day. It was sunny and clear, so Kevin took them up to Fort Saint-Eynard, which looks over the Grenoble valley.

We also took a walk in the parks near our house on the edge of the village that turned into a photo session in the wildflower fields with the mountains behind.
Piper wouldn't let Grandma out of his sight!

These two rode their bikes.

Grandma and boys with a view of the Belledonne mountains behind.

Rare family picture...

And a couple of David and Sandy.

These are so sweet, they bring tears to my eyes...

Needless to say, Grandma came home with a huge bouquet of wildflowers :)

It was so wonderful to have David and Sandy and Mom visit. I loved being a part of the trip down memory lane as Mom was able to visit the places she was born and lived at in Europe. David did all of the planning and research for that trip, and I'm so very thankful for all the time and effort he put into it. I'm thankful that Sandy came along and translated or we wouldn't have gotten very far in Croatia! Not only was it a memorable and amazing trip for the history of my Mom's family, but it was also a very fun trip and we had so many good laughs along the way. It was so amazing for me to experience and share some of my European travels with my family. Thanks also to Kevin for watching the boys through a very long week without a vehicle and making it all possible!

I'm especially thankful that my Mom was able to make the trip and also that she was able to spend a few days with us in our home. The boys loved having her around and were very sad to see her go! Thanks for coming, we love you all and miss you!!
